Finding the right fit is only part of the process. I work one-on-one with students and families to understand who the student is, where they want to go, and what it will take to get there. Together, we develop a custom plan that fits the student, not the other way around.

We start by understanding who your student is: their strengths, interests, personality, goals, academics, and experiences. This gives us a clearer picture of what environments and opportunities may be a good fit.
Build the Plan
Next, we look at the choices your student is making now, from courses and activities to summer plans and testing, and create a plan that supports where they want to go.
Find the Fit
Then it's time to explore colleges, programs, majors, and pathways that fit your student and your family's priorities. Sometimes the best option is one you already know about. Sometimes it is one you never knew existed.
Navigate the Process
Finally, with a plan in place, we work through the many pieces of the college process, including college lists, applications, essays, interviews, deadlines, financial aid, and decisions.

The right college isn't necessarily the one your friends are choosing, the one that gets the most attention on social media, or the one everyone tells you is “so cool.” The right fit starts with understanding who your student is and the environment in which they are most likely to thrive.
Some students thrive in a large university with a wide range of opportunities and resources. Others may do better in an environment with more structure, support, or a stronger sense of community. There is no one right answer. The goal isn't to find the “best” college. It's to find the environment that fits your student, then build a plan to help them get there.
Meet Gail
Gail McNiece brings experience from both sides of the college admissions process. As an admissions representative, administrator, and consultant, she has worked with students and families as well as colleges and universities, giving her a behind-the-scenes understanding of how colleges make admissions and scholarship decisions.
She personally visits more than 30 colleges each year and works one-on-one with families to help students find the path that fits them best.
